Q. How do I log a support call
Answer: There are three ways you can log support calls with vIT4u Ltd.

  1. By far the easiest way to log a call is to send an email to helpdesk@vit4u.co.uk.When emailing your support call detail as much information as you can about your problem.  The more information you can supply the easier it will be for our engineers to get you up and running quickly.
  2. You can log calls to our helpdesk on the client login page.
To do this you need a username and password which. If you have not been provided with an account (you can always ask for one) and don't or can't email your support request there's always option three.
  3. The final option is to call us and we will log the call for you.

If you need any additional clarification on how to log support requests please do give us a call and we'll be happy to assist.

Answer: If your computer has a virus it is important to have it removed as soon as possible.

vIT4u clean your computer of viruses, malware, trojans and other malicious software, install an industry leading Anti-virus package and advise on how to continue to keep your system safe in the future.
Q. Do you sell equipment?
Answer: Yes we do!

We supply various brands of laptops, Desktops, server, printers and network equipment as well as consumables for Laser printers.  We particularly like HP and Dell equipment but are happy to supply whatever brand you prefer so long as we'd be happy to have it on our own network.  If its rubbish we're not interested in supplying it.

Q. Why has my computer slowed down?
Answer: Computers that are not adequately maintained slow down naturally over time due to file fragmentation.  Other possible causes could include malware or virus infestation.  Either way vIT4u can help.

If you are not confident on what to do please call us and we'll send an engineer out to put things right.
Q. Is remote support safe?
Answer: Absolutely, remote support makes use of java so no applications are installed on your computer.  Once the session has ended the link is completely broken and can only be reinstegated with your authorisation.
Q. How can I get a website address?
Answer:

When you type in a website address your computer uses a service called Domain Name System (DNS).  The most basic task of DNS is to translate web addresses to IP addresses. In very simple terms, it can be compared to a phone book. DNS also has other important uses such as directing email.

To own a web address you need to register it with an appropriate authority.  We can do this for you and manage it on your behalf or you could go direct.  We can recommend Namesco Limited as a leading UK company for just such a service.
